Before you load up

What to bring to the yard

A short checklist that keeps your visit to Redbank Metals quick and your payout high.

    A valid photo ID

    Texas law requires a government-issued photo ID for every scrap transaction. No ID, no payout — no exceptions.

  2. 2

    Your vehicle and plate

    The yard records the vehicle used to deliver the load. Bring the vehicle you're actually unloading from.

  3. 3

    Sorted material

    Separate copper, brass, aluminum and steel. Mixed loads are graded down to the lowest metal in the pile.

  4. 4

    Drained and de-gassed items

    Tanks, compressors and engines must be drained, and sealed vessels must be cut open so staff can see inside.

What the yard cannot accept

  • Sealed or pressurized cylinders that have not been cut open
  • Anything containing fuel, oil or refrigerant that has not been drained
  • Radioactive, medical or hazardous waste
  • Material you cannot show ownership of
