What is your scrap worth?
Add each material and weight for a guide estimate before comparing Houston yards. This is not a buying offer.
Estimated Houston payout range
—
Estimate only, not an offer. Individual yards set their own buying prices and determine final grades and accepted weights.
Based on today's COMEX copper price. Yards set their own prices - compare Houston yards before you sell.

Aluminum, stainless, carbide and other non-copper grades use independently reviewed fixed ranges.
Why yard offers can differ
Grade matters more than weight. Insulated wire pays less than bare bright, attachments and steel in an aluminum load pull the price down, and oily or painted material may be downgraded at inspection.
Sort copper and brass separately and remove non-metal attachments where safe and practical. Compare like-for-like grades and confirm terms with your chosen yard.
