Redbank Metals
Redbank Metals is a family-run scrap yard on the east side of Houston, buying copper, brass, aluminium and steel from trade crews and households alike. Everything you see priced here is bought and paid for at this one yard.
Redbank Metals began in 1978 when Ray Calloway started collecting radiators and copper offcuts from job sites in a single flatbed truck. He rented a half-acre lot off Redbank Road, put up a fence, and traded under the name that stuck.
Ray's wife, Marisol Calloway, joined the business full time in 1984 and rebuilt how the yard runs day to day: the ticket system, the grading notes pinned in the scale house, and the habit of walking every customer through their load before it hits the pile. Between them they turned a one-truck operation into a yard that handles trade loads and household drop-offs side by side.
Today the yard is run by their daughter Nia and a small crew who have been here most of their working lives. The pricing board on this site is the same board the office works from, so what you read is what the team quotes when you pull up to the gate.
We buy bright and burnt copper, brass, insulated wire, aluminium extrusion and sheet, radiators, stainless and mixed steel. If you are unsure what you have, bring it in or send a photo and the team will tell you how it grades.
